World Of Food:
Learning Intention:To develop an understanding of how different cultures affects food choices in Australia.

Success Criteria:Success Criteria I will know what early Aboriginal or a European people would have eaten and influences on their food choices.
Success Criteria I will be able to analyse what I ate last night and determine what culture it came from. Success Criteria I can identify what factors affect my food choices. |
Expectations of this course:
1. A portfolio of worldly reflections:
This is where you reflect on the pluses, minuses and interesting points of that food that you made from that culture.
You are required to reflect on both the food and the culture of that dish.
You are required to do this for 5 (five) dishes.
2. Complete all the theoretical activities by the due date.
One week you will do theory work, and the other week you will cook.
3. Bring a container to take your food home in.
This is where you reflect on the pluses, minuses and interesting points of that food that you made from that culture.
You are required to reflect on both the food and the culture of that dish.
You are required to do this for 5 (five) dishes.

Activity 1:What are the cultural influences on food choice in Australia?
Activity 3:Select 3 dishes or snacks that you think are less healthy, identify why and suggest options that will make this dish healthier for you.
